SIAE awards for learning and knowledge promotion 2017

Awards to institutions, enterprises and local communities for outstanding professional or promotional achievements as well as for achievements related to the enrichment of one's own knowledge or the knowledge of others

Municipality of Ajdovščina

Aware that the whole can only develop as much as its smallest parts, the Municipality of Ajdovščina activates all its stakeholders and inhabitants.
The municipality uses strategies, supporting analyses and programmes to target its most vulnerable groups: the youth, the unemployed and the rural population. By improving the accessibility to knowledge, forging connection between the economy and public institutes and associations, and including citizens, it ensured the most important problems are addressed. This shows clear awareness that the whole can only develop as much as its smallest parts. The participatory budget project My Initiative deserves a special mention.

The MUNICIPALITY OF AJDOVŠČINA received the ACS 2017 REWARD “for well-planned steps towards an inclusive, healthy, cultural and knowledge-based society.”
