Marija Debelak from Ljubljana
Learning as a way of life
Following a serious accident when she had to re-learn everything from scratch, even reading and writing, Marija Debelak from Ljubljana joined a study group at the University of the Third Age. Learning foreign languages offered her new opportunities to express herself. She began to write articles and translate texts from French. The friendship she struck up with Ana Mlakar led to two anthologies which Marija translated into French. Marija's learning experiences have given her a completely new start in life, uncovering her creative abilities, so it is no surprise that free and open learning has become her second nature.
