Ernest Vodopivec from Maribor

Ernest Vodopivec has, as a director of People's University Ormož which is operating in the educationally and economically not well developed region, decided to intervene creatively in the lives of the rural population with various forms of lifelong learning and modern methods of adult education. Through co-operation in national and international projects he contributed to the raise of educational level of the local population. People's university Ormož has been included in the project Quality Education for Adults. He is constantly adapting the educational offer to the demands of the area he is working in. He introduced the verified programme of farming-entrepreneurial activity for the professions farming-home-economics technician and farming-economic technician. By delivering the project Accessibility to ICT he wishes to raise the level of informational literacy in Ormož and in neighbouring villages where 8 new ICT centres were opened.
