Minka Kočevar from Dragomlja vas

The professor from Dragomlja vas is proof that sometimes NVQ is worth more than three degrees.
Minka is a professor of chemistry and biology with two additional degrees and three professional certifications, but she overcame a period of unemployment and fixed-term work with her NVQ as herbalist. With her husband, she designed and planted an educational herbal garden with 120 medical herbs, developing new activities on the family farm. She shares her knowledge and experience in study circles and associations, is a poet that led the Metlika Literary Association for a decade and an active member of the Metlika Association of Farming Women.

MINKA KOČEVAR received the ACS 2017 AWARD “for constant collection of new knowledge, which translates into opening countless new opportunities for herself and for others”.
