At a time of economic crisis, AHA EMMI, a successful company, has maintained investment in employee learning, thereby increasing the sense of belonging in the company.
Company director Roman Stegne was voted Director of the Year 2009 by journalists. This is just one of the awards that show successful management. It gives people the opportunity to achieve their career and personal goals. It also enables them to obtain a formal education in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, electricity and economics. Managers are trained to the highest level in coaching, while the company introduces competence models to better monitor and plan employee competences, and provides regular training in the areas of communication, conflict resolution and personal development. Many manufacturing employees are involved in the Training for Life Success - My Workplace (UŽU - MDM) project.
During the economic crisis of 2009, the company maintained funding for training. At a time when it needed many people unavailable in the labour market, the company was able to find a solution. It employed unemployed people - female confectioners - and trained them for work in industry. By installing a wood-fired boiler, it also reduced environmental pollution.
AHA EMMI aluminium processing d.o.o. recognises the importance of the link between a learning company and commercial success. At the same time, it also cares for the environment and natural and cultural heritage. All measures are planned and implemented carefully - and especially successfully.
