In the 2007 European Year of Equal Opportunities for All we used the this medium to address those among us who owing to their difference can only become equally included in society by fighting for it.

With lifelong learning to equal opportunities for all (1 - 3) is the first multimedia publication based on SIAE award winners' life histories selected in line with the following aim: to illustrate the role of education and learning in overcoming barriers that derive from:

• national or cultural differences among people (Role models attract 1),
• disabilities, long-term illness or retardation (Role models attract 2),
• old age, and special family or social environments (Role models attract 3).

The material can be a useful tool for educators, mentors, professionals, counsellors and others engaged in motivating people to face these barriers and through lifelong learning enrich their lives.

The video was broadcast for the first time as part of the 2007 National LLW Opening programme as well as at other LLW venues.
