Representatives from 15 Estonian regions, the Ministry of Education and Research as well as the Estonian ALW national coordinator, i.e. ANDRAS (Association of Estonian Adult Educators), altogether a group of 20 people, stayed in Slovenia from 19 to 23 September. Their visit was a great opportunity for exchanging experiences and ideas related to organising learning festivals in both countries.

On Sunday, 21 September, the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education (SIAE) and ANDRAS presented their institutions and their projects, focusing on the LLW/ALW project and some aspects of its national coordination. On Monday, the meeting of Estonian and Slovenian coordinators took place. Prior to this, representatives of both ministries in charge presented the respective adult education systems. This was followed by a general presentation of the Slovenian LLW coordinators' network, and after that, the coordinators had their say, concentrating on the following themes: establishment of a versatile local/regional network of participants and providers, effective cooperation with the media, promotion of LLW award winners, experience with organising national LLW grand opening on local level, and the importance of evaluation on national and local level. In parallel, Estonian regional coordinators reported on their ALW experiences in the respective fields of work. Finally, the Estonian Adult Learners' Forum was introduced.

On their last day in Slovenia, on Tuesday, Estonian guests visited the Jesenice Adult Education Centre.

Throughout the meeting, participants from both countries were expressing their enthusiasm about the opportunity to get acquainted with each other as well as with the approaches that have been taken and results that have been achieved in the learning festivals' movement. They also shared the eagerness to cooperate even more intensively in the future.
