Maryan has as a migrant started his new life in Gorenjska region. Like most workers from the Balkans he was first employed on the construction site. With the support of guidance counsellors from Kranj, Jesenice and Radovljica he was looking for opportunities for further training and used all the available activities. First, he has completed the necessary NVQs to be able to start working in catering industry. Various nonformal and informal courses enabled him to share his knowledge and skills with others, while continuing his formal education.
