In the second phase of the implementation of EAAL (2014-2015), the fifth video publication was produced with the title 'I can, therefore I am. Promoting Adult Skills'. It summarizes key aspects of the 21 Promoting Adult Skills (PAS) events and offers encouraging messages for young adults, unemployed, migrants and inhabitants of rural areas as well as for adult educators and other stakeholders who collaborate in this field.
In the project phase 2012-2014, aspects of adult education and learning have been illustrated that refer to priority areas of the European Programme for Adult Learning.
One of these aspects is non-formal adult learning in communities - it is presented via an attempt to define a learning community from a theoretical point of view, however, on the basis of examples of good practice.
The video production presents the following cases:
three implementations of an educational programme for the unemployed (Video 1) - illustrating high-quality services by education providers which enable participants, in this case the unemployed, to develop new skills and competences;
rural literacy programme (Video 2) - illustrating opportunities for adults to develop various basic skills and key competences, intensifying intergenerational cooperation and partnerships at local level;
information and guidance in adult education and validation of non-formal learning (Video 3) - illustrating examples of Slovenian information and guidance centres with their clients' testimonies;
This project has been funded with support from the European Commission. This publication reflects the views only of the author, and the Commission cannot be held responsible for any use which may be made of the information contained therein."
