About

In the project phase 2014-2015 the fifth video publication was produced with the title 'I can, therefore I am. Promoting Adult Skills'. It summarizes key aspects of the 21 Promoting Adult Skills (PAS) events and offers encouraging messages for young adults, unemployed, migrants and inhabitants of rural areas as well as for adult educators and other stakeholders who collaborate in this field.

The aim of video production in the project phase 2012-2014 was to upgrade existing experience collected and presented via the multi-media portal 'Role models attract'. The latter is based on video-presentations of SIAE award winners (1999 →) and on products of the 'Role models attract' promotional campaign (2007 →). They are all based on the assumtion of learners being the best advocates for adult learning. In cooperation with adult educators, they  create examples of good practice which relate to nearly all areas covered by the EAAL.

In the 2012-2014 project, four video-presentations have been produced on the following topics:

  • Implementation of a non-formal educational programme for the unemployed in three environments (Video 1),
  • Rural literacy programme 'Izzivi podeželja' for the acquisition of key competences (Video 2),
  • Guidance for adult learning and recognition of non-formal learning outcomes (Video 3),
  • Community learning (Video 4).

Video-publications have been disseminated to professionals and practitioners in adult education. We have also tried to bring them closer to potential learners, especially the educationally deprived ones. More about this in the report (in Slovenian language).
