Providers of events were recommended to highlight topics of the European year for combating poverty and social exclusion at their LLW venues by paying special regard to the role of lifelong learning in these endeavours. On one hand, equal and equitable access to lifelong learning opportunities was emphasized. On the other hand, the importance of education and training as well as other means of adult learning for greater employability, solidarity, intergenerational collaboration, active citizenship, personal growth and the capacity to cope with various kinds of distress was stressed in about 540 (around 10 %) LLW events.
SIAE cooperated with the Slovenian national coordinator of EY 2010, i.e. the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs, Directorate for Social Affairs.
